Anthony Hopkins launches his first NFT inspired by his career and personal artwork

Oscar winner and two-time Academy winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins is launching a new NFT collection about his life as an artist. The Silence of the Lambs star has partnered with NFT digital collectible company Orange Comet for this project.
Dubbed The Eternal Collection, it will feature Hopkins’ movie roles based on 10 different archetypes he’s portrayed during his five-decade film career. Using a series of thought-provoking images and animations, the NFT collection immortalizes Hopkins’ diverse archetypal interpretations of Eternal: The Hero, The Jester, The Lover, The Sage, The Creator and more.
In The Hero, he dons a black leather bodysuit with spread wings. While in The Revel, he wears a mask akin to the one he wore as Hannibal in The Silence of the Lambs film.
The drop date is scheduled for September 16 and each stage of the drops comes with IRL and extra bonuses.
The Iconic Category will be launched on the first day of the auction as a one-of-a-kind animated NFT featuring all 10 archetypes. The winner will get to enjoy an intimate lunch as well as an autographed Hopkins art book.
The second Legendary Category will feature 10 unique one-of-one animated NFTs each featuring a different archetype. Each archetype will have 100 variants to make each NFT distinctive.
On the third day, the Distinguished Category with 1,000 unique NFTs based on 10 archetypes will be auctioned. 39 lucky buyers will receive an autographed Hopkins’ Dreamscapes art book and 5 random buyers will be selected to join a video chat on Discord with the actor.
Hopkins said that the Metaverse offers the opportunity to connect with an audience in a brand new way. He expresses his statement to take his art to the next level as ‘the oldest guy (at 85 years old) in the NFT community and on social media’ and to ‘prove all is possible at any age.’
Orange Comet partnered popular American TV series Walking Dead to develop NFTs and made huge success earlier this year, the NFT project generated more than 3,000 ETH in trading volume.
