Blockchain games and Metaverse projects raised US$ 1.3B in Q3 2022

DappRadar’s BGA Games Report shows that blockchain games and Metaverse projects are growing in terms of adoption, daily unique Active Wallets and NFT sales.

Blockchain games and metaverse projects raised $1.3B in Q3 2022 despite harsh market conditions, according to DappRadar’s BGA Games Report. 

 

Gaming activity made up early half of all blockchain activity across 50 networks sampled, in DappRadar’s report, which shows the number of daily Unique Active Wallets (UAW) increased by 8% month-over-month and its dominance remains over 48%. Specifically, there were  912,000 daily Unique Active Wallets (UAW) interacting with games’ smart contracts in September.

The most played Web3 games are Alien Worlds and Splinterlands with more than 160,000 daily UAW registered in September. This is followed by Gameta, with over 1 million daily UAW in September and Benji Banana, with over 29,000 daily UAW in the same time period.

Move-to-earn games are also increasing in popularity. Sweat Economy minted a record-breaking 10,000 NFTs on Near Protocol while OliveX and The Sanbox are collaborating to develop the fitness Metaverse.

Blockchain game Gods Unchained also climbed the ranks during September, becoming one of the top 5 collections boasting over $18 million generated from NFT sales.
