Care Bears Forever NFTs to launch on Recur to celebrate 40th anniversary

Care Bears will arrive in the Web3, NFT and GameFi space next month with help from Recur!

In celebration of Care Bears' 40th anniversary, Recur and Cloudco Entertainment brand are bringing the iconic bears to Web3 with the launch of Care Bears™ Forever, an NFT experience that honours the iconic bears and their personalities.

The NFT collection will launch Aug. 4 and give Recur Pass holders early access to the NFT sale.

The collection features NFTs of original Care Bears and ‘new never-before-discovered Care Bears.’ The original Care Bears will be featured in 10,0000 PFPS that serve as key to accessing gameplay, which features challenges and exclusive mystery NFT prizes. Among the prizes, mystery Chests can only be unlocked through Sharing Meter challenges or by purchasing from another community member on the Marketplace, which means players will collaborate to win these prizes.

The 10 beloved original bears to be featured include Cheer Bear, Grump Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Bedtime Bear, Best Friend Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Birthday Bear and Wish Bear.

The initiative will allow Care Bears to tap into the younger millennials and Gen Z fanbase who grew up with The Care Bears brand and appeal to their interest in entering the Metaverse and Web3. 

Recur has also helped other nostalgic cartoon icons enter the Web3 space. For example, Recur has launched a Hello Kitty NFT collection in partnership with Sanrio and a Hey Arnold! NFT collection with Nickelodeon.
