Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo is set to officially launch his debut NFT collection with Binance.

The collection will be launched on the Binance NFT marketplace on Nov. 18, 2022 at 9 a.m. UTC.

The NFT collection will feature seven animated statues and have four rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (N).

Each rarity level will correspond with various perks ranging from personal messages from Cristiano Ronaldo, signed merchandise, to guaranteed access for all future CR7 NFT drops and giveaways.

Ronaldo explained that the NFT collection was created to express his appreciation to his fans for the success he enjoys today.

‘With Binance, I was able to make something that not only captures the passion of the game but rewards fans for all the years of support,’ he added.

Other stakeholders in the soccer world are also launching their own projects in the Metaverse ahead of the World Cup.

Last week, Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot announced a 90,000-seat virtual stadium in the Sandbox as a hybrid sports, art, and digital events space for sports fans to connect and watch football matches for free via their mobile phones, desktop or Oculus headset.

On Nov. 11, Animoca Brands, Cool Cats and OneFootball Labs also announced the launch of the Cool Cats FC collection. The dynamic NFTs changes according to the team performances and boasts a line of exciting incentives for football fans including limited-edition and autographed merch, meet-and-greets with pro football players and more gamified and other interactive experiences.
