Decentraland has partnered with fiat-to-crypto payment gateway, Transak and Metaverse Architects Studio to launch the world's first metaverse ATM on August 2.

This will allow users to buy Decentraland’s native currency MANA and any other cryptocurrency with fiat currency within the Metaverse. Users can buy and sell items in Decentraland using cryptocurrency.

The ATM is built to improve the Metaverse user experience by stimulating ATM transactions in real life.

‘Just like an ATM in real life, we wanted to give users a more seamless journey while navigating web3,’ the developers said in a post.

The ATM will be available for landowners to install on their property, details of how to deploy the ATMs on their properties will be announced at the launch event on August 3. Details can be found on a recent Decentraland blogpost

Apart from Decentraland, banks are also getting involved in the concept of the Metaverse. J.P. Morgan launched its first metaverse lounge  called ‘Onyx’ on Decentraland at the beginning of the year. HSBC partnered with Decentraland’s competitor, The Sandbox in March this year, where the bank acquired a parcel of land to be used to engage with sports, e-sports and gaming fans.
