EXIT, the two-time Best Major European Festival winner, will become the first major European music festival to offer NFTs as tickets. It is partnering with New Jersey-based startup NFT-TiX to provide this cutting-edge ticketing solution.

The tickets — ‘NFT VIP GOLD’ and ‘NFT VIP Infinite Experience’ — went on sale June 30, 2022, and can be purchased through Ethereum-based ticketing platform and marketplace, NFT-TiX. Like many festivals, there are three tiers of NFT tickets on offer on the NFT-TiX platform - Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

Holders of the ‘NFT VIP GOLD’ and ‘NFT VIP Infinite Experience’ will enjoy a premium VIP experience at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia from July 7-10 2022. They will also be rewarded access to the mts Dance Arena stage, private parties, exclusive merchandise and video, unlockable content and airdrops, and more.

The music festival lined up some shows featuring big names in the music industry, including Calvin Harris, Maceo Plex, and Iggy Azalea.

This initiative comes after the launch of EXIT’s NFT collection with Maceo Plex and Christina Carmela, which supports the brand’s line of initiatives that aims at utilizing Blockchain technology to enhance and amplify real-life experiences in different ways.

The NFT ticketing solution comes at a time when an ‘industrial scale’ ticket fraud that saw 30,000 to 40,000 people attempt to enter the Stade de France with fake tickets or no tickets at all last month, as pointed out by the Champions League Final in Paris. EXIT’s solution is part of its efforts to provide a more safe, secure ticketing system through using Blockchain technology and NFTs.

In explaining NFT ticketing as an innovative solution, NFT-TiX founder and CEO Emil Ljesnjanin had this to say: ‘This is a game-changer for the festival industry. We can finally put an end to ticket fraud and scalping, and fans can be confident they’re getting the tickets they paid for.’
