Elon Musk announced that Spacex will soon accept Dogecoin, followed by Starlink subscriptions

Spacex and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that Dogecoin will soon be accepted as a payment method for merchandise at its space manufacturer Spacex, as accepted on Tesla’s shop.
The news comes after the electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla announced it would start accepting Dogecoin as payment for its merchandise. Musk wrote in a Twitter post, ‘Tesla merch can be bought with Doge, soon SpaceX merch too.’
However, there are no details about the availability of the payment method.
Musk also mentioned that Spacex’s Starlink subscriptions may be paid with Dogecoin ‘one day’. As per the company’s website, Starlink offers ‘high-speed, low-latency broadband internet in remote and rural locations across the globe’.
Tesla started accepting payments in Dogecoin in January 2022 for some merchandise while accepting no other cryptocurrencies.
To make purchases with Dogecoin on the Tesla shop, a customer is required to own a Dogecoin wallet, which is a software app that supports Dogecoin transfers.
According to the company website, the payment page will display the Tesla Dogecoin wallet address in an alphanumeric code and a QR code so customers can link their Dogecoin wallet for transactions.
In May 2021, Spacex accepted Dogecoin payments for its lunar mission ‘DOGE-1’ mission that planned to travel to the moon. Musk also purports that Dogecoin would become the first cryptocurrency in space.
Doge peaked following the announcement about Spacex accepting Dogecoin, from trading at US$ 0.078399 at the time of his tweet up to more than 8% at US$ 0.084927. The memecoin stabilized at US$ 0.0856 at the time of writing, according to data from Coinmarketcap.
