Leading Metaverse platform The Sandbox announced a partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises and Web3 studio Elvis On-Chain on May 26 to bring the kind of rock and roll to the virtual world. Joining the partnership also include Decentraland, digital creator Voxel Architects, wearables designer DAPPCRAFT and Web3 utility creator Metakey.

1,935 Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be minted as the all-access pass to the Elvin-On-Chain Metaverse, play-to-earn games, Elvis avatars, exclusive wearables and collections, which will launch on June 1.

This new collaboration will bring about a unique meeting place for Elvis fan culture across the world in the new Elvis world in the Metaverse. Fans can become ‘The King’ in different formats, interact and trade NFTs. It will also be a part capsule and part amusement park to celebrate the icon’s entry into the Web3 space.

There will be an after-party hosted on Decentraland after the genesis mint called The Elvis Block where fans worldwide will celebrate the music, dance, outfits, cars, movies and the legacy of Elvis Presely. Users can access Elvis wearables such as an Elvis jumpsuit, and some will be rewarded with Elvis Genesis Key Holders.

Run It Wild Director Adam De Cata told NFT Culture,‘These incredible partners, all leaders in the craft, help us build a one-of-a-kind meeting place for Elvis fans. The Elvis metaverse will host an array of ground-breaking experiences, generative collections, a showcase of rare concerts, fan experiences, and real events.’

'Elvis On-Chain expands the opportunities for fans to come together in new ways. In a huge commemorative year for Elvis with the launch of Warner Bros. Pictures’ epic big screen drama, ELVIS, from filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, catapulting his legacy into the future,' added President of Entertainment at Authentic Brands Group (ABG) and owner of Elvis Presley Enterprises and Iconoverse Marc Rosen.

Each partner has committed to building experiences in the project. The Sandbox will create Elvis avatars to enable users to become Elvis Presley in different formats and build an immersive gaming world of Elvis in the Metaverse.

‘Elvis Presley is one of the most iconic singers and performers of all time and this partnership will extend his legacy into the metaverse,’ said COO and co-founder of The Sandbox Sébastien Borget.

‘We want to empower his fans to express themselves and become their very own Elvis, creating an exciting way to experience his likeness across generations and keep him forever in the limelight thanks to technology.’

Voxel Architects will ensure the Elvis avatars are crafted in the King’s glorious image and that the game features the most representative aspects of his legacy.

DAPPCRAFT will design the officially licensed wearables for the Elvis Block party, including the Elvis jumpsuit and Elvis style wig.

Finally, Vegas City, primary land owner of the biggest entertainment district in Decentraland, will be helping the building process of the Elvis Block Party in the most popular social casino in the Metaverse.
