F1 racing star Daniel Ricciardo becomes OKX’s global ambassador

Italian-Australian F1 driver partners with world’s second largest crypto exchange by trading volume.

McLaren Racing Formula One driver and crypto enthusiast, Daniel Ricciardo has teamed up with leading cryptocurrency and Web3 platform OKX in a multi-year partnership. This makes Ricciardo a global ambassador for OKX during the 2022/23 racing season.

 

The announcement comes three weeks after OKX was unveiled as a sponsor of the McLaren Racing team.

In addition to taking on the role as an ambassador, Ricciardo will also lead an educational campaign for F1 fans focused on cryptocurrencies’ merits, crypto trading and how to enter the digital asset space. They will also get a glimpse into Ricciardo’s crypto trading journey. 

 

Ricciardo will also collaborate with designers from underrepresented communities to create a special-edition racing helmet which Riccaiardo will wear during the racing season. He will debut the new outfit at the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix on May 29.

 

Speaking on the partnership, Ricciardo said, ‘It is an exciting time in the world of crypto, the possibilities are endless. I'm honoured to partner with OKX, who are one the leaders in this space. They truly value their customers, and education, transparency and security is paramount to them. The fan experience is going to be at the centre of everything we do together, so expect big things from us this year. Game on!’

OKX is Ricciardo’s preferred trading platform, along with its 20 million customers spanning 180 international markets.
