Gatorade NFTs dropping in partnership with OneOf x Vayner3

The popular sports activities drink company Gatorade has launched its first NFT collection featuring Athlete of the Year in partnership with OneOf and Vayner3.
‘The Gatorade Game Changers: Athlete of the Year’ NFT collection will be available exclusively on the OneOf NFT marketplace in an open-mint version on July 20.
The sports drink company aims to expand the influence of its Gatorade Player of the Year (POY) program through this new initiative. It also hopes to amplify the Athlete of the Year ceremony taking place on July 19, 2022.
The NFT collection will feature cards illustrating winners of the 2021-22 Gatorade Player of the Year (POY) award, which is awarded to the nation’s exceptional student athletes across a variety of sports.
‘Every of those athletes has overcome immense obstacles and adversity to grow to be pillars of their neighborhood and achieved super success in the sector and within the classroom,' reads the collection’s description.
To give back to athletes, the Gatorade Video Game Changers: Athlete of the 12 months NFT plan will airdrop NFTs to the athletes’ personal wallets. The NFTs are 10 ‘Athlete Original’ custom version collectibles of their personal card.
The NFT collection attributes 12 Gatorade players of the year, which include Averi Carlson (volleyball), Nick Singleton (football), Colin Sahlman (boy’s cross country), Natalie Cook (girl’s cross country), Kiki Rice (girl’s basketball), Gradey Dick (boy’s basketball), Keagen Rothrock (softball), Brock Porter (baseball), Riley Jackson (girl’s soccer), boy’s soccer (Jacob Murrell), Cade Flatt (boy’s track and field) and Juliette Whittaker (girl’s track and field).
Proceeds from primary sales and 8% of secondary sales will benefit Good Sports, a humanitarian organization that advocates for equitable entry to youth sports through supporting young athletes in underserved regions.
