K-pop group Blackpink to hold PUBG mobile’s first virtual concert

Krafton Inc.'s PlayerUnknown's battlegrounds, PUBG Mobile is partnering with K-pop group Blackpink to hold the platform’s first in-game concert dubbed ‘The Virtual’, which will launch as part of Version 2.1 of the title.
The concert, in which the four members will perform via their 3D avatars will be held in a series of shows, July 22-23 and July 29-30 in North and South America, and July 23-24 and July 30-31 for the rest of the world. Players are encouraged to download the game so they can claim free tickets in-game starting July 15 and preload the Concert Resource Pack the following day, which is required to join the concert.
At the concert, Blackpink will premier their new track and the accompanying music video as well as a range of in-game skins (including avatars and outfits based on Blackpink that will be available for purchase starting from July 23. Tencent Games said PUBG Mobileplayers will be able to receive the “eye-catching outfits” worn by Blackpink from July 23 onwards and wear them ‘on the battlefield’ until August 31.

‘Fans will live the true Blackpink experience, not only by coming to the concert, but also by obtaining the custom-made performance suits the group will be wearing during their performance. The outfits will be available for players to obtain beginning July 23 through August 31, the eye-catching outfits worn by Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are sure to make players sparkle on the battlefield,’ according to a press release by Tencent Games.
