L’Oréal joins hands with Ready Player Me for Web3 beauty NFTs

The beauty NFTs take the form of interoperable hair and make-up looks that can be customized and used across more than 4,000 platforms and apps worldwide.

L’Oréal has partnered with avatar creator Ready Player Me to bring ten exclusive gaming-inspired hair and make-up options to the Metaverse.

Users can customize their 3D avatars with the beauty looks across more than 4,000 platforms and applications worldwide.

‘We believe that the future of beauty will be physical, digital and virtual,’ Asmita Dubey, chief digital and marketing officer at L’Oréal Group, said in a statement. 

 

‘Our brands are creating new, immersive and virtual experiences using virtual spaces, in-game customized experiences, in-virtual world advertising and virtual ambassadors and influencers. We are very excited to lay the foundations for the future of beauty on web3 and the metaverse,’ Dubey added.

The news follows L’Oréal’s recent partnership with Meta and French business school SEC Paris for the launch of a six-month accelerator to support Web3 startups.
