NFT Tech partners with Sony Hawk-Eye Innovations for sports NFTs

The partnership aims to onboard more sports fans to the fast-growing fantasy sports industry.

NFT Technologies Inc. (NFT Tech) and Sony’s Hawk-Eye Innovations have partnered to connect live sports data to the sports NFT market. 

 

NFT Tech is a company that specalizes in developing infrastructure, assets, real estate and IP in the metaverse, as well as generating revenue from P2E and M2E games, mainstreaming decentralized ownership, NFTs and the Metaverse for public markets. The company is also acclaimed for their Cannes Lion award-winning work on the Australian Open AO Artball. 

 

Sony’s Hawk-Eye Innovations is a subsidiary of Sony Sports, offers best-in-class officiating, broadcast and digital solutions to the sports world. 

 

The partnership aims to explore and utilize blockchain technology to enhance its connection with sports fans and their favourite teams in new ways. 

 

‘Sport Leagues worldwide are constantly looking for ways to increase viewership and connect deeper with fans,’ said NFT Tech CEO Adam De Cata. 

 

‘Fantasy sports is extremely popular and acts as a huge viewership increase, encouraging the middle segment of fans to stay engaged during the regular season. We’re excited to be joined by Sony as we pioneer unique blockchain use cases for the sporting and entertainment industry,’ he added. 

 

For some added context, fantasy sport has emerged recently as a popular and fast-growing industry. It boasts a yearly user-base of over sixty million people which led experts to predict the industry will be valued at US$ 50 billion year-on-year by 2028.
