Nike just announced a brand new Web3 platform ‘Dot Swoosh’ as part of the brand’s strategy to advance in the digital space.

The .Swoosh platform is designed to highlight the brand’s NFTs and enable customers to ‘learn about, collect and eventually help co-create virtual creations, which are typically interactive digital objects, such as virtual shoes or jerseys.’

The platform, currently in beta mode, will eventually open its doors to the wider community to co-create the brand’s future. Customers can collect and trade Nike virtual products and attend IRL events including chats with professional athletes. They can create their own destination under the Nike domain (name.nike) to show and sell their own virtual goods.

The tokenized virtual creations they create can also be used for avatars within Web3 games.

The goal of the platform is to democratize the Web3 experience so the community and Nike can co-create, share and have a stake in the digital world, according to Nike.

.Swoosh will begin accepting registration this month and is set to launch its first digital collection in 2023.
