OKX, the world’s second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, launched the OKEx Football Festival ahead of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, with US$ 1 million spot awards, according to a Nov. 8 press release.

The festival features three major events, including an NFT game, Football Cup, crypto trading competition, the 2022 OKEx Football Cup trading competition and special staking deal, the Earn Super Hatrick event. The total prize pool for the festival is US$3 million.

The festival kicks off on Nov. 8 with the NFT Football Cup to allow fans to mint up to three NFTs of their favourite national teams. NFT holders will split spot rewards of 20,000 USDT each time their team advances through the group stages, with the prize pools for each eliminated team being transferred to the team that knocks them out.

In mid-November, fans can participate in the 2022 OKEx Football Cup trading competition to compete for new user rewards, quiz-based prizes, and referral rewards.

On Nov. 11, the Earn Super Hatrick event will offer fans a chance to participate in multiple staking deals for Manchester City ($CITY), Portugal ($POR), Argentina ($ARG), Flamengo ($MENGO) and the Chiliz ($CHZ) tokens.

OKX’s Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique said that OKX aims to help fans explore novel and innovative ways to celebrate and support football.

‘OKX is investing heavily in its already leading Web3 Wallet and NFT Marketplace platforms, and I can confidently say that this exciting festival is only the beginning of the new opportunities we’ll be offering,’ he added.
