Renault Korea and The Sandbox to offer Web3 automotive experiences

The Sandbox Metaverse and the Korean subsidiary of French automaker Renault Korea Motors announced a partnership on Monday to create ways users can experience virtual automobiles in the Metaverse based on blockchain trends such as Web3 solutions.
The automaker goal of the partnership is to leverage on various opportunities in the Metaverse to create innovative brand experiences and will focus on launching NFTs, blockchain games and virtual reality products as well as marketing campaigns with several brands in the Sandbox Metaverse.
‘The new digital journey that our company is preparing is intended to provide clients with an expanded brand experience and familiarize them with the brand,’ Renault Korea CEO Stephane Deblaise stated.
CEO of The Sandbox Korea, Cindy Lee backed Deblaise’s statement by stating its own goals of generating new experiences ‘that combine automobiles and digital assets in The Sandbox.’
The Sandbox is one of the top Metaverses and has a long list of partnerships internationally and with other Korean companies, including TV and radio network Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). MBC will create its Sangam office building and production studios and other content for players in The Sandbox Metaverse.
Other Korean companies include local entertainment giant CJ ENM to promote its TV shows in the Metaverse through the entertainment company’s own virtual K-content exhibition space to showcase its TV and streaming content.
