Snoop Dogg and Steve Aoki announced their debut NFT EP - Da Da EP to drop exclusively on music-focused NFT and streaming service platform Gala Music and in partnership with hip hop label Death Row Records on May 23.

Steve Aoki and Snoop Dogg jointly created a new soundtrack dubbed Alpha Doggz. The final three soundtracks of the five-song EP ‘Da Da’, ‘Girls’ and ‘How I Do It’, are scheduled to drop on May 23.

According to ‘Each track off the new EP features the rap and EDM luminaries at their creative best,’ notes the press release. ‘Da Da’ and 'Holy Grail’ are described as ‘classic Steve Aoki club bangers’, while ‘Girls’ and ‘How I Do It’ ‘evoke Snoop’s unmistakable laid back groove.’

On top of the EP release, Gala Music and Snoop Stash Box holders will receive the exclusive Da Da song ‘Super Freak’ ft. October London. Members of the A0K1VERSE will receive the ‘Holy Grail’ single for free.

This latest project marks Gala Music’s first cross-genre project. Alpha Doggz is described as a representation of a ‘perfect marriage between Snoop Dogg and Aoki’s distinctive and addictive MOs.’

Snoop Dogg has made a name for himself in the NFT and music industries, and said that Gala Music could be the only channel that his NFT label Death Row Records will use for ‘putting out artists through the Metaverse’.

‘We plan on giving people access to buying and trading some of these classic songs, classic records that were the foundation of Death Row,’ said Snoop Dogg in a Gala Music-hosted AMA event in March.
