Warner Music Group launches NFT partnership with OpenSea

Warner Music announced an NFT partnership with OpenSea. Together, they will provide a platform for select WMG artists to build and extend their fan communities in Web3.
The select WMG artists will be granted early access to OpenSea’s new feature drop, plus ‘improved discoverability’, personalized storytelling on customized landing pages, as well as OpenSea’s safety and security features.
Moreover, WMG artists will have their own dedicated drop page to host limited-edition projects and receive support from the OpenSea team in building their Web3 communities.
Oana Ruxandra, chief digital officer and executive vice president of business development at WMG, said, ‘Fundamental to music’s DNA, is community – it's artists and fans coming together to celebrate the music that they love. Our collaboration with OpenSea helps to facilitate these communities by unlocking Web3 tools and resources to build opportunities for artists to establish deeper engagement, access, and ownership.’
Warner Records UK is currently collaborating with Web3 company Probably Nothing to create the first collection of music NFTs. This collaboration marks the latest in a series of efforts by WMG to build out the music company’s expertise in the Web3 space.
