Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, has purchased virtual real estate in the Decentraland and Somnium Space Metaverses.

Through this initiative, the company plans on utilizing the virtual land parcels to create innovative ways for its global teams to collaborate with one another and with its customers via virtual meetings and customer events. The company will also carry out research and expand its products and services in the Metaverse.

The goal is to transform work and collaboration processes for its staff and customers.

In the same vein, the company also sees itself as a Web3 leader in the tax and accounting industry. It justifies its leading position with the launch of its blockchain-based bank confirmation solution launched earlier this year, which creates a certified audit trail to record proof of all interactions and identities between external auditors and involved parties.

‘The metaverse will very likely reshape business models, product portfolios, and the way people collaborate. Ultimately, our leadership in this next technology revolution will enable increased productivity and revenue opportunities for our customers,’ said Karen Abramson, CEO of Wolters Kluwer.
